The DOT rules for transporting hazardous materials just don't go far enough. One these hazmats are transported and unloaded and distributed among the population, they pose different, but equally dangerous, threats.

More than that, some of the most dangerous materials are not classified as Hazmats. Until now.

Class 10 - Alcoholic Beverages The white on blue diamond contains a warning graphic, an alphanumeric code (10.1 to 10.3), and the domestic (US) version also contains the legend LIQUOR, WINE, or BEER or even LITE BEER.
Class 11 - Narcotics and Controlled Substances There is a white on red diamond carrys a legend like "Narcotics," "Cocaine," "Ecstasy" or "Marijuana" with various graphics, including a hypodermic, pipe, marijuana leaf, and pill.
Class 12 - Tobacco Products These are white on brown with the legends CIGARETTES, CIGARS, and PIPES.
Class 13 - Body Fluids These are white on green diamonds that carry legends like BLOOD, SWEAT, TEARS, SNOT, and SPIT.
Class 14 - Diseases These are white on gray diamonds that carry legends like EBOLA SARS and HERPES.
Class 15 - Foods These are white on red diamonds that carry legends like FAT and CHOLESTEROL.
Class 16 - Cosmetics, Beauty and Grooming Products These are black on pink diamonds that carry legends like LIPSTICK, MASCARA and PERFUME.
Class 17 - Idealogies and Belief Systems These are white on blue diamonds that carry legends like RELIGION and many major sects, like CHRISTIANITY, JUDAISM, and ISLAM These also carry legends referring to systems of government like CAPITALISM, SOCIALISM and TOTALITARIANISM. Other ideologies in this category are FUNDAMENTALISM, LIBERALISM and CONSERVATISM. Less formal idologies like RACISM, SEXISM and even FEMINISM also fall into this category of hazardous belief systems.
Class 18 - Personality Traits Any personality trait, from arrogance to humility, can be classified as a hazmat. This category covers traits ranging from all seven deadly sins like LUST and ANGER to the four virtues, FAITH, HOPE, CHARITY and PRUDENCE.
Class 19 - Emotions These carry the legends FEAR, LOATHING, and HATE as well as the Freudian labels, ID, EGO, and SUPEREGO.
Class 20 - Occupations and Professions This class covers things like POLITICIAN, ATTORNEY, and BUREACRAT.
Class 21 - Intangibles This class covers things like "Power," "Knowlege" and "Wealth" that are easily identified to but difficult to categorize or quantify.
Class 22 - Organizations and Institutions This class covers things like "Democratic Party," "PETA" and the "Department of Motor Vehicles" and the "Post Office."
